Shine City App — Privacy Policy

The Shine City app lets customers of Shine City Pressure Washing
(“Shine City”, “we”, “us”) see their quotes and upcoming jobs, message us, view special offers, and
pay invoices. This policy explains what the app collects, why, and who it is shared with.

1. Information we collect

The app does not collect background location, and it does not access your camera
roll, camera or microphone unless you actively choose to attach a photo.
2. Payments
Payments made through the app are processed by Square. Your full card number is
entered into Square’s secure payment form and is never stored by Shine City. We keep only the amount,
date and a payment reference.
3. How we use the information
We use it only to run the service you asked for: quoting, scheduling, performing the work,
communicating with you, taking payment, providing support, and improving the reliability of the app.
We do not sell or rent your information and we do not use it for
third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.
4. Who we share it with
Your information is visible to Shine City staff for the purposes above. We also use trusted service
providers who handle data on our behalf and may not use it for their own purposes:
- Supabase — secure database and backend hosting.
- Square — payment processing.
- Twilio — text messaging and calls.
- SendGrid — email delivery.
- Apple Push Notification service / Google Firebase — notification delivery.
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety, rights or property of
Shine City, our customers, or the public.
5. Data retention
We keep customer and job records for as long as you are a customer and afterward only as long as
needed for warranty, accounting, tax and legal requirements, then delete or anonymize them.
6. Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and stored in access-controlled systems.
Access is limited to authorized Shine City personnel and the providers listed above.
7. Your choices and rights
- You control notification and photo permissions in your phone’s settings at any time.
- You can reply STOP to any text message to stop text notifications.
- You may ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information by emailing us at the
address below. We respond as required by Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA). - To delete your account and associated data, email

with the subject “Delete my account” and we will remove it, except records we must keep for
accounting or legal reasons.
8. Children
The app is intended for adults arranging services for a property and is not directed to children
under 13.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced in the app and the “Last updated”
date above will change.
